So the Bailey has gone - was a great 'van, hopefully we we wont miss it too much, whoever buys it will get a great 'van:

But new Elddis Supreme 840 takes its place:

Have to say in those pics the Bailey looks longer, but they are both exactly the same Laughing

As the Elddis is 8ft wide, a bit of playing around with my old Milencos I found I could fit them at the bottom of the MY16 mirrors using standard arms (not the longer ones), and see down both sides of the 'van, and with them in this position they didnt foul the door with the mirrors folded in Thumbs Up

(not sure who the dodgy looking chap is looking at the mirrors Whistle )

Well done Al. Looks nice hope you enjoy it.
Explorer group products get some bad press so it will be interesting to see what your experiences are once you’ve had it for a while. Having said that I had a twin axle Elddis crusader from 2006 to 2015 and it was an excellent van. My favourite to date.
I swapped it for a new single axle Coachman and in two years I’ve had loads of issues. I can’t see me keeping it as long.
And I miss the twin axle.

Hi
Nice van.
As far as bad press, they all get that.
I have a Bailey and they got hammered with faults, the last Barcelona 1 went back full of damp and a refund. Indiana, and Barcelona 11 no problems.

Enjoy mate

Thumbs Up
 Regards
Ray

Cheers Chaps

Thats the issue isnt it, in so much as all the UK 'van manufacturers all have their problems at one time or another, its almost just pot luck if you get a good one or a bad one. The Bailey was a good 'van for us, yes there was an issue with water ingress in the 2 ourside front lockers but I caught it early and did some mods (which should have been standard from build) and we were OK. At the trade in, given it was 6 years old, the chap checking it who was going over everything, (including checking all the appliances worked which we've never had when trading previous 'vans in) said it was immaculate.

As part of collecting it, we got a free one night stay at a local site so that we could try everything. The chap on the next pitch was doing the same. He'd traded in a Bailey Unicorn the same age as our Olympus, and his was full of wet rot in all 3 front lockers, despite it having full service history - to say he was Censored off with his bailey dealer for not picking it up was an understatement.

So hopefully this one will be a good 'un Thumbs Up
