ONE MORE CHANCE!

HSE auto broke down again this morning. Errors all over the place and unable to reset/reboot. L/R to attend soon.

All this after install of latest s/w 6 weeks ago to cure similar problem. Has been fine up to know. I gave it one more chance then, but being of a generous nature, will extend that ONE LAST TIME.

Now, wanting to hedge my bets, I'm thinking of alternative vehicles.

I know you guys are fanatical about the D3 (and I know why that is - it's great - when it's working), but IF you had a 2nd choice, what make/model would you choose?

No smart Censored "a new D3" comments please.

I should add that, being a 4x4 (higher ride) fan, it would need to be your 2nd choice 4x4-style vehicle.

OK, let's try that again.

If you were forced into a non-L/R product, what would it be?

Sorry, there's nothing else to compare with - it's a bit like saying 'I don't like apples any more, are there any pears that taste the same?' Confused

If you want to rough it a bit then the Nissan Pathfinder SVE is fully loaded and around £30k....BMW X5 is due for a facelift very shortly ..but will be a dog off-road......Merc ML, Toerag and Q7 thingy are just too .....well.... German......the Porsches Pepper pig whilst German is a technical marvel but god damn ugly !

So we're back to D3 or rrsport then Rolling Eyes

United Kingdom 2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 Base 7 Seat Auto Bonatti GreyDiscovery 3

Sorry to hear about the D3 being a trouble maker! My simpler TDV6 7 has been simple and trouble free. Thought less gadget = simpler life

If only I had the money.....I would look at the new Merc GL! But then I will have to sell off my right kidney to pay for it!

Q7? >>>>>>>>>> If you like a jacked up audi saloon lookalike! and will never off road....
X5>>>>>>>>>>> nah! common
XC90>>>>>>>> Zzzzzz!!!
Jeep>>>>>>>> if you want a D3 copy
ML>>>>>>>>>> Hmmm a bit feminent
Nissan>>>>>>> rough but rugged
Toyota>>>>>>> Bouncy bouncy reliable
VW and Porsche >>>>>>>> ewww...... only the Turbo S....
You can always wait for the Bentley.....ewww

Then again none will seat 7 comfortably and look subtly classy...... I like the way a D3 is a discreet vehicle....

Yeah - discreetly parked on my drive 'cos it ain't working.

I agree the choice is not easy (after owning a D3).
