My wife and I argued about this. I pointed out that it's easier to load a huge clump of clotted cream onto a scone after the jam than it is to try spreading jam onto the cream. She tried it, and actually agreed with me. I think it was a trap, as apparently I then agreed to a new kitchen

Absolutely always jam on first
Ps and its scone (as in stone) not scone (as in con)
Tin hat on
And Sheepy - when will you learn, never ever ever ever think you've won an argument with SWMBO, there is always an ulterior motive Uncle Ray's spare wheel protector
Limo Tint
Blackvue front & rear dashcam
Cruise control switch pack
Bodsy's remote for FBH

+1 to above argument. I'll have to avoid discussing it with SWMBO as "new kitchen" is always on her agenda.

If a picture is the required evidence of 'correctness' here is my 'Yorkshire Cream Tea' clearly showing Jam first (the ONLY way)......

Naaaaaaaaaah. Cream on first, then jam then lid. You don’t put jam on toast then the butter on top. And it’s scone rhymes with gone. Anything else just is plain wrong.
