The funny thing is you could probably open the doors and let the water out, some draining of fluids for fresh and it would probably run and drive no problem at all. Not like some “modern” cars if that happened. Jarrod

After what Top Gear did to that Toyota there will be no problem getting that started again. The water didn't get to the top of the snorkel When you are dead, you do not know you are dead. All of the pain is felt by others. The same thing happens when you are stupid.

No need to open the doors on a 90/defender to get rid of the water!

After his vehicle got stuck in the mud on the incoming tide a man was advised by the lifeboat crew to leave the vehicle and go back to the shore
The volunteer crew of the Sheerness RNLI inshore lifeboat ‘Buster’ launched at 12.37pm on Sunday 14 October after a call from the UK Coastguard reported that concerns had been raised for the safety of some people trying to secure tow lines onto a Landrover that was stuck in mud off the Shingle Bank, Minster.
When the ILB arrived on the scene they found a man still in the half-submerged vehicle and with concerns for his safety he was advised to go back to the shore, which he did.
With the vehicle up to its axles in the mud attempts by shore-based vehicles to recover it were unsuccessful and so for the safety of other beach users the lifeboat crew managed to remove the tow lines from the vehicle and assisted in getting them back to the shore and out of the water.
The ILB was back on station at 1. 30pm.Wind NW force 2
Having been totally submerged on the high tide it is believed that the vehicle was successfully recovered on the next low water around 11.30pm
This is the report of what happened. Apparently the owner is a repeat poor judgement offender. The general local concensus is that he wil hopefully be billed for all this.2006 TdV6 HSE.

Ok maybe a little water above the snorkel judging by the last photoWhen you are dead, you do not know you are dead. All of the pain is felt by others. The same thing happens when you are stupid.

Open the doors.
Drain & refill fluids, remove plugs (glow or otherwise), crank it over a bit, put the plugs back in and drive it home (seats might be a bit damp).
Hose it off, including in the chassis rails
Flog it quickRob Smith
Silver rools OK
