Paint issue inside doors being poor colour coverage. Finance company got involved and have said that I am entitled to full refund or a replacement vehicle. Trouble is cannot get a replacement vehicle the same spec with rear aircon now

How on earth does a luxury car maker selling some of the most expensive so-called high end vehicles in the the marketplace let dodgy paint get past 'all' the supposed quality assurance inspections you might expect it to be subjected to
If they can't spot poor paint what else are thye missing beneath the covers.......... I have new one on order for next year YIKES "Track day running - Don't put your foot back on the accelerator until your absolutely sure you don't have to take it off again"

Heard they were dropping a few things we wanted including Causeway Grey (only available on RR products after dropping it from Discovery) and the rear aircon.
So we ordered and literally had the last causeway... Dealer even had to ring to make sure our build slot would get the colour!
Rear air con is fab but a real for the second battery location as I'm struggling to find a spot for it now.MY15 DIY Black Pack (Better than factory and half the price!)

My current MY2015 has rear aircon but I am awaiting a response from Dr Ralfp Speth and Tim Hicks, both of them have been sent letters regarding the poor service from the supplying dealer and LR customer services as the issue with mine could have been resolved before 2016MY went into production.

...there was a lengthy thread some days ago whether you should lookout you new car before the PDI
in this case it would be justified...
You may not have been able to open the doors...but any other paint work faults / dinges / dents would hopefully be obvious...these are what the smart body repair guys make their crusts on.
But it seems to be the inner door wheel arch area seems to be the bit thats always problematical...
To me paintwork inspection isn't rocket science...you use the inbuilt head mounted cameras & your brain.
You could use others tools such as paint thickness meters.
Maybe if LR & J are tapping in to this site they ought to take note that product is escaping the plant in less than to specification condition...this gives them or adds to a bad name..to me undeserved.BREXIT - done properly.
