I think I am about to be pretty p  d off. I ordered the car and because we did it over the phone (deposit paid by card) I have an unsigned order form sent by email which I queried and sales lady (who has been great) said "I guarantee the end figure is correct and by the time the CO2 cost gets added to your accessory line the discount will have to be increased to leave the end figure the same."
So that to me says we are on and committed to the price on the quote. The quote has an ex VAT price of £1,783.34 for the commercial luxury pack. The document Jo sent says this is now £2,750.00 + VAT, an increase of £1000 + VAT as near as makes no difference.
All of the other extras are priced the same as the 11MY so I wonder why LR now decide to charge an extra £1k for one item (I have looked at the list of what the pack includes: there's nowt extra in there).
I will wait and see but to be honest if LR have decided to rip me off to the tune of a grand more for this one item I may well not end up getting a D4 after all
Wonder if my dealer is reading these posts....

I think I know the reason for the price increase.....
The 2012 Discovery 4 is to gain the eight speed auto gearbox from the Range Rover with circular dial lever and paddle shift!
Fuel economy is a quoted 33mpg combined and emissions down to 230g/km...

Hi Harry, I can understand the increase in the basic list price (of my commercial 255bhp) going from £28,543.34 to £29,175.00 (exc VAT). The £600 or so increase buys me DAB, 8-speed rather than 6-speed, an extra 10 horses, better fuel economy, paddle shifters - I can see where the extra money as gone.
What I can't understand is the increase in the commercial luxury pack (CLP) by £1000 when the specification for that has not changed one bit. All other extras are the same price but the CLP is exactly the same spec for a grand more.
Fortunately no request from the dealer for any more cash (yet!) but it seems a bit odd.

I purchased my vehicle with a November delivery date from your recommended north manchester dealer and had to pay the new 2012 prices So your either going to be or  keep us informed

I have to admit I don't know either. Probably different leather or something! Has anyone actually got a copy of the 2012 printed price list yet, can only find the 2011 one online. I'd like to have a copy of that if anyone could send it to me.
Here in Ireland we are awaiting a new 5 seat Commercial D4 arriving onto the market as and from September. It will have significantly cheaper registration and road tax and will be based on specs up to and including the HSE.

ive got the hump really, i only ordered my d4 commercial last month and they didnt say that a 2012 spec model was coming out and so now im lumbered with a 11.5MY d4, the 8 speed box and therefore better fuel efficiency would have been spot on  2011 D4 SDV6 Auto Commercial

originally they said september, but long and short of it, i bought a defender 110 pick up when i traded my D3 in just to keep me going but it was useless, gearbox, diffs etc etc all blew up, so i gave it back for full refund and then they miraculously said that my D4 would be built on 15th july, so will be a 11.5my, although at the time they had no idea of 2012 spec apparently, well to be fair neither did i, but tbh its the icing on the cake really as ive not got a proper vehicle for work i bought a bloody nissan terrano 3.0 for 2k to tide me over...... 2011 D4 SDV6 Auto Commercial

And another thing, couldnt have active rear diff! Sun roof wasn't an option on commercial, neither was rear seat entertainment, rear diff must be ordered in conjunction with these, how stupid is that? 2011 D4 SDV6 Auto Commercial

Is that what they said? That is nonesense. The 11MY price list says "Active Rear Locking Differential - can be ordered with only one of either 019AG Sunroof - Electric or 129AD Rear Seat Entertainment" which means you can have any two of sunroof, e-diff or RSE but not all three. You can't have the sunroof or RSE on the commercial but you can have the e-diff.
To be honest I would be a bit pi ed off - the dealer would have had the 12MY product spec on or around the last week in May but there's no way they didn't know moving from Sept to July meant a move from 12MY to 11.5MY.
Having said all that, the 11MY is all anyone has driven so far and it is fantastic. Yes it would have been nice to get the shiny new spec but there is always something shinier around the corner. The gap between D3 and 11MY D4 is big, between 11MY and 12MY will be much smaller. You will get yours before I get mine and it will be fantastic.
I would still have a go at the dealer to try and get something out of them but you will still end up with a cracking motor.

Prepare for a tale of woe and tretchery.
The short answer is no cos I cancelled the order.
The longer story ends up in me and the wife splitting up and now heading towards a divorce and needing the cash for other things.
So, for now at least, I am still in the D3 G4 and am trying to keep that.
I have to say I am gutted (about the car) and also need to change my username I reckon from MrAndMrsH.
