I have been following this website for a while now, and seing that I ordered my XS just before Christmas, I thought I would say hello.
I have added Privacy glass and heated steering wheel. Expected delivery in April, so can't wait.
I am sure I will be asking lots of dumb questions

Ok, first dumb question
Do you have issues with the height of the Disco in multi-story car parks, I know you can lower the suspension to access height, but is the car still too tall for some car parks.
Thanks
Steve

Not also being daft, but it depends on the height of the car park...
I'm sure there are car parks out there which the D3 is too tall for, fortunately car parks do state the max height on entry 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
Any issues with the site let me know!

Yes some carparks will not take a D4/3. Hieght is on sun visor so check before you go in. Ashford has two multi storey carparks right next to each other, it fits in one but not the other.

Thanks for the replys chaps.
Didn't know the height would be on the sun visor, thats a good idea. Thought I might have to put a sticky label somewhere myself.

Not being funny, but it's worth going out and measuring your own disco personally when you get it. There seems to be quite a few variations and the sun visor info is often very pessimistic! As I'm often working and parking in new places, I wanted the exact figures... now I know them, there's not many car parks it won't fit into.
P.S. measure at the back - not the front!
(1.86m is my new personal car park limit.)

Thanks for the tip, I will definitely do this when I get the car, last thing I want to do is scrape the roof in the first week, would be a bit embarrassing

I thought I had everything covered when I first got my D3... and then reversed into an overhanging tree smashing the high level brake light. Couldn't work out what I'd hit as there was loads of space around the car !!!

I've now got a Discovery 4 GS on test till next Tuesday, now I'm hoping it will snow over the weekend
Thoughts so far, its a bit bigger than my current car, but soon got used to it.
She doesn't half get a wiggle on when you put your foot down, I was quite suprised for such a big car.
I need to adjust my driving style, I can't chuck it at roundabouts quite the same
Don't look at the MPG, but thats not the point of owning a car like this, then again the consumption is better than my Jag.
I can see why you all love this car

Just received a phone call from the dealer today, delivery will be on 4th April, I can't wait. I even have a count down timer on my phone
I've got my 64Gb USB stick and I am transferring my music onto it. Also looking at how to transfer all my Tom Tom POI onto the Disco system. Then I need to get in contact with Wiggs to get remote FBH setup.
Is there anything I have missed.
