Has anyone fitted these on their main beams? The main beam H7's in my D3 are good but I don't really like the difference in colour temp to the HIDs...

I know they're not for road use, but would expect if they had a decent beam pattern in the main beam, an MOT tester wouldn't look too closely. '06 D3 TDV6 S Cairns Blue

Have got H7 LED bulbs in both my RRS & Disco, very bright and the same colour as the xenon bulbs.
Both cars recently passed their MOTs with them in.
Got them from LED Innovation Ltd in Bradford, via fleabay. They specifically state they can be used to flash, some LEDs don't like this.

Just fitted some Novasight LED’s in my main beam units and very impressed with them, bright, great range and colour match the Xenon dip beam’s. Steve

I think this is correct:
I think as long as the mandatory headlamps on main beam are matched & dip correctly in the dipped position, (either by extinguishing, or shuttering to mask the main beam part, then the type of bulb or pattern doesn't come into the MOT for main beam.
For dipped beam only: Has to be in correct alignment & for vehicles after 1st April 1986 LED replacement bulbs aren't allowed. LED replacement complete headlamps are allowed if E marked.
regards
Steve
