I used to get P2263 a lot when I first got my D4. And I mean a lot.
Used to only come up when I was just wafting along at 60ish under light throttle. Typically on the motorway to work on a slight uphill.
Most times it cleared after stopping and restarting. But not always so I got into the habit of clearing it with the IID.
Had it back to the dealer multiple times, but they never found anything wrong. No surprise there, as the dash cam showed they never test drove it under the conditions I described to them when it happened.
I could see them doing smoke tests etc, no leaks apparently. And because the code wasn't ever present when they had it, their computer said nothing wrong so they had no idea what else to look at.
After chatting with Joe at JAS LR about it, he thought it was related to the light throttle, possibly mucky
sticky butterfly flap in the throttle body and the EGR valves opening/closing (can't remember now what his full technical assessment was, but it's basically a transient over boost) and his advice was to just drive it a little harder to keep it out of that small window where the issue happened.
Since then (more than a year ago) it only came up once, and yes, that was when I was just wafting along under light throttle.
He also advised to remove and clean the throttle body if it still happened. Not bothered doing that for a one off, as it doesn't seem to be a quick & easy job, and I don't want to risk cracking the manifolds.
I do tend to drive lightly, but try to remember to drop it into Sports mode and give it some welly now and then to clear the tubes (Italian tune-up I believe it's called).
My code details:
P2262-22(27) Turbo/supercharge boost system performance - General signal failure - signal amplitude>maximum

Try taking it to a specialist, and having some diagnostic work carried out, no? My D3 Build Thread

It’s just so intermittent it may not do it for weeks but then like today done it twice in 10 minutes
When it does it it’s holding back a bit a surges forward not a lot but def noticeable only does it when going quite slowly like pulling away or just crusing at 20-30mph no probs when on a motorway etc
I don’t see what a specialist can do if the fault ain’t there
I have even done a vac check all good now and I have done a smoke check and there is no leaks
All was ok till the manifold cracked and I changed it but broke the egr water cooker valve doing so
Bypassed the water and blanked them off (yes em light is on ) but wouldn’t of thought that would cause the codeDisco 3 gone but not forGotten

Every part of the engine management system is interlinked with every other part of the engine management system
If there is a primary fault (Blanked EGR) it could very well cause a secondary issue with another component (MAP sensor) down the line
If it didn't happen before the manifold replacement, and its only happening now after the manifokd replacement, there's a good chance its something you have done that caused it
Had you mentioned the EGR fault in the first place, then the advice would have been to get that repaired first...My D3 Build Thread

Hadn’t mentioned it as didn’t see any where
That a egr could cause that fault code
The same fault code was there all the time that’s when I found the manifold cracked since replacing The manifold it does it still same code but intermitantly have now
Ordered a egr valve will fit that and then go from there
Appreciate the reply’s disco-MickeyDisco 3 gone but not forGotten

Hi
Interesting that the dealer found nothing, as SDD will display any fault code that will have been activated, especially if it’s displayed a warning and the mileage it occurred.
I use SDD on a daily basis and in the right hands it’s cracking, I’ve got a D4 coming in this week With this code, so I’ll have a look and see if I can shed any light on the problemThere's no I in team and no F in bonus

Re-instate the EGR function, remove throttle body and thoroughly clean especially butterfly, MAP sensor etc. Check very carefully all elec connections.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ
