P2264 fault code Can't be delete

Hello there, I have an LR4 with a P2264 fault code.
I read many articles in that task and of course I replaced (by a service) a complete fuel filter and housing.
The code poped up after a small turbo rebuild, so the body was off the chassy.
My service can't fix the problem and I start to do research on that code to fix.
The tank was investigated there is no water, the filtering system is brand new.
I was a bit confused when my mechanic in the service said they have to calibrate the new sensor when they replace. Is that true, it's necessary ? Many thanks

No calibration required - if the sensor is disconnected from the filter housing the DTC should clear, if not, check the wiring hasn't been damaged or trapped.

Hello All,
First of all Merry Christmas to all of you.

My Disco4 still has P2264 fault code.
Already done with the 2nd service who said they can fix it but they can't.
So finally I purchased an IID tool to check myself the issue.
With ignition on I read the fault codes, pop up P2264 as needed, I can delete it than when I start the engine code not coming back only if I close the car and restart the engine again.
We checked the big electric connector at the back wheel it's clean and works well.
There is any chance for the new sensor on the fuel filter (lower or upper one) has factory problems ?
Any suggestions where and what else have to check to solve that issue.

What I got from workshop manual:

P2264-
00
Water in Fuel Sensor
Circuit - No sub type
information NOTE: - Circuit
WIF_SENSOR -
Fuel supply
incorrect/contaminated
Harness fault - Water
in fuel sensor circuit
Water in fuel sensor
fault
Central junction box
power distribution
fault
This DTC is set if the engine control
module receives information indicating
an implausible fuel level. Refer to the
workshop manual and check the fuel
system to ensure there is an adequate
fuel level in the tank and the system is
not leaking fuel or suffering from air
ingress. Check the fuel for
contamination by other fluids (petrol or
water etc)
Refer to the electrical wiring diagrams
and check the water in fuel sensor
signal circuit between the sensor and
the engine control module for high
resistance, open circuit, short circuit to
ground, short circuit to power,
intermittent faults. Repair the wiring
harness as required
If there are no wiring faults suspect the
water in fuel sensor. Refer to the
warranty policy and procedures
manual, or determine if any prior
approval programme is in operation,
prior to the installation of a new
module/component
Refer to the electrical wiring diagrams
and check the water in fuel sensor
power supply from the central junction
box for high resistance, open circuit,
short circuit to ground. Check the
water in fuel sensor ground supply
circuit for high resistance, open circuit,
short circuit to power. Check the
voltage supply from the central junction
box, check and replace fuses as
required. Replace central junction box if
there is no voltage supply to the water
in fuel sensor. Refer to the warranty
policy and procedures manual, or
determine if any prior approval
programme is in operation, prior to the
installation of a new
module/component


the opther option i would consider would be replacing this part:
LR045519

The fuel filter and housing incl. all sensors and cables already replaced.
The issue is still there.
So we'll check all bits and pieces what you mentioned in your answer and I'll coming back where we are.

Hello All,
Finally all sorted and back to a good shape w/o any error codes.
I found an electric specialist who's friendly w Discovery4 and got an apoitmmen at 3rd of Jan.
After Christmas my brain was still around to found out the source of this error code and the strange thing was sometimes was P2264 (2F) sometimes P2264 (6C).
Anyway those signs and all your help lead us to start checking one by one all connections and cables.
The first strange thing was the fuel filter electric connection to the main cabling was faulti.
There was no 12V at all or sometimes 5-8V but on a wrong cable.
So after about a half a day finally found a damaged cable behind the battery and that was the source of the whole mess.
So whenever the mechanic team lowered back the body to my chassy and connect back all cables to the ECU's they messed up that cable and that caused the error message on my dash.
Anyway all sorted and thanks again all ideas and help.
