Changed things round abit
Going to put anything that produces lights etc from the switches down the bottom of the centre console , so won’t be in my face of a night time
Top section will have the T max dual battery console and this other unit next to it, handy because it does live data along with being able to clear DTCS , fits a treat and think it will look neater
Some example pics of the unit
Have also got the bottom switch panel , so will be prewiring that up as much as possible before installation
Plus my dashcam will fit on the sunvisor clip, waiting for it to be 3D printed , as the first clip was in the way of the screen hatching

Pics of the dashcam clip, also getting the ball put onto the other side , to fit passenger side out the way
Will of course post some piccies once it’s all done, think another month with measuring , sending items etc back and forth will get there in the end
First batch wouldn’t fit the sunvisor clips , plus windscreen hatching , so being redone

Hi hardware
Many thks, thing is that Halfords one is a HUD where the one I got isn’t , just wanted to see it on the dashboard and not on the windscreen , ie, example in pic but will be next to my T max console
Slowly starting to work out terminals etc , waiting for some bits for the other side , can then just piggy back the wires one to another , will be split 3x left and 2 x right , will utilise some of the existing 12v cig point wiring
At least I can now sit at the table for a little while , gives me something to do and though I might as well bore everyone else

Just looking at the top panel I don’t like the screws showing , I’m thinking of cutting a new panel out of the plastic, maybe doing 2 x sheets sandwiched together
At least just having the 2 x items inside
Don’t know what’s the best thing to cut it with , any ideas please , wonder if a laminate blade in the jigsaw would work

sorry fella ... I was going off the link saying "A501-HUD-Displa...3800763946 " !!
Did think when I looked at it the digits would be other way round for a HUD.
regarding not showing screws ... what about using 2-part plastic rivets? some of the neater ones would just have a smooth rounded head on show.

Hi mate
Never a need to apologise buddy and agree ref the HUD name , one does indeed do as it says on the tin the other is like an ordinary display, nothing like a bit of confusion
Cheers that’s a good idea ref the screws, I was also thinking if I cut 2 x pieces and placing them over the screws, first layer goes level with the screws , next level goes over the top , so 3 x layers all told
Will look at those blind rivets and great idea, many thks
May i ask what would u use to cut the plastic sheet please, it’s 3mm thick ,wondering if a laminate blade would be any good
Just think it would look better than the plain metal
Thks again

Wonder if this would work ref putting 2 x layers over the plate
Also another thought , if I done away with the plate and had 3 x plastic layers would then only need to drill 2 x small holes for the cabling to go through the sheets
Dependent on type of plastic, you could try a hot Stanley knife blade held in molegrips..
