My service book lists the various services as "A", "B" or "C".
I cannot find any definition of this in any of the manuals. Can someone assist? My next service is 72,000km "B" and if it only entails oil changes etc, I may have it done nearby, rather than the 160km drive necessary otherwise. The bloke to do it is eligible to work under warranties on vehicles, but if some L/R gear is necessary, then I had better make the pilgrimage. 2006 HSE TDV6 Bonatti Grey, ECB bull bar, tropical roof, LG Next G car kit, Tom Tom GPS, UHF, Mitchell Bros tow bar, Kimberley Kamper Limited Edition camper trailer and 23 foot Haines Signature half cabin (Towed separately!)

I printed a copy off since there is no info in the book ...... as you know . Spotted it last year when
someone else asked in the UK ..... this was Slimers link ..... if memory serves me ..

What type of report does your dealer give you? |
|
Question....
Do the Aussie dealers provide this form to the customer after a service? I have just done the 60k service and only got a printed receipt for the $$ amount and what was done. I never get a detailed report of what has actually be checked and been replaced etc such as this report...
Any answers? What's the point.... it all comes out in the wash anyway!

All I got was 6 litre of synthetic oil and a filter , written on the invoice .......
They assume you don't want to know what they do,nor care less ........ wonderful is it not .....
.....it's not on really, but could you believe them if they gave you the usual "looked at everything"
report rubbish .... which is the alternative.
Toyota use to report on tyre depth and brake pad thickness( I was impressed with the effort )

Thanks Neil, I have printed this out too. I never receive any report either, just the bill, but I do think they have been relatively observant. They also have been filling out my log book, but the main data is kept on the L/R computor site, so we are generally kept in the dark. 2006 HSE TDV6 Bonatti Grey, ECB bull bar, tropical roof, LG Next G car kit, Tom Tom GPS, UHF, Mitchell Bros tow bar, Kimberley Kamper Limited Edition camper trailer and 23 foot Haines Signature half cabin (Towed separately!)

I actually gave them a list of what I DIDN'T want touching .....
Leave the wheels alone and don't alter the pressure.
Don't touch the EPB whatsoever
Don't change the wipers or put additives in the wash water
Don't wash the vehicle (bl--by pressure washer brigade ! )
If it wasn't for warranty ....... I would change the oil and filter myself every 18 months and leave "well - alone".
Synthetic oils are in a different world to the old stuff and have very long lives ..... we're getting stiffed with
this over service cr@p here.....It's how they pull back an operating margin.....there should be an ACCC
class action against warranty rules... a total rort
