Parking sensor fault. (NOT)

Quick trip to Screwfix was nearly Censored expensive ... good job I had music low enough to hear the bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep from the rear sensors.

view out of rear window ... ignore the mess, was full of plasterboard until yesterday too !

had a look ... was kerb triggering it ??

nope ... another inch and a half would've cracked the bumper. Shocked

in the previous D4 I actually reversed into a Transit van offside front bumper and it didn't bleep ... there must be a shape that fools/deflects the ultra-sonic waves.

IIRC you CAN turn off the sensors ... some do it with swing-away spare wheel carriers for instance. perhaps you inadvertently did that ?

erm, how do I check that on the gaptool as I' ve got park asst which makes a sound and the light on the P>>> switch lights up. On checking the car config it states the parking asst is off?
