parking sensors paint peeling |
|
can anyone let me know please if this is a common problem? I've got black paint peeled off 2011 (2012MY) D4 on two sensors - one in front on the black middle part of the bumper and one on the back again - middle one.
Can they be painted over with matt black or replaced easily? I've looked online but can't identify which sensor exactly I need and there's quite a few different types coming up....

Does LR give a paint warranty? “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Hmmmm
Not an expert but should the sensors have paint on in the first place ?
I would have thought they'd be self-coloured to avoid ant interference Morris Dancers: Drinkers with A Dance Problem

I don't think ants are his problem. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

My D3 has Lugano Teale coloured ones up front..the paint has never peeled off
One sensor replaced had to be aerosoll paint job to match up...this worked
so yes they are originally painted & can be re-painted.
you arent pressure washing these close by any chance ? BREXIT - done properly.
