PDC button doesn't work

I have a problem with PDC button on my D3 2008 HSE.
The Park assist works well. I hear sound when closing up on obstacles and PDC button lights continuously all it time. But if I press the button then nothing happens. I can’t switch it off.
Also when I drive slowly and want to activate front parking sensors I press PDC button and can't activate.
Maybe someone here can help me solve this problem

Hi Rmigel,

Normally when the light flashes on the button it means that there is a fault on the system. Could be a failure within the wiring or the PDC Sensors themselves

Hope this helps

Steve

Of course not flashing. It is certainly light continuously on the button. I have corrected in the post.

I think the button is only there to turn it off. Maybe it does turn the fronts on

The forward PDC is automatically switched on when drive is selected; the rear PDC switches on automatically when reverse is selected.

The button on the dash either disables or enables depending on which state the system is in.

For example:
If the vehicle is stopped in front of a garage door and the driver wishes to disable the relevant PDC it can be switched off via the button then switched on once the door is opened and the car is entering the garage. Thus disabling and enabling.

I undrestand how PDC and switch works, but if i want deaktivated sensors, i touched the switch, but without any reaction. I replaced panel, but switch still doesn´t work. This problem started 2 months ago.
before, system works well

Oh I see, sorry for my slightly condescending response.

I think you may have a wiring fault between the button and the PDC ECU.
