Perseids are not quite what I imagined.

In my head I imagined a spectacular shower of Perseids over my nice new car...
Hours wasted and one sodding Perseid. Rolling Eyes

Park it round my place: I wandered out into the garden around midnight yesterday and saw three in a couple of minutes. Then my neck hurt and it was getting cold so I went back in for medicinal Ardbeg.

Just back from 2 weeks on the isles of Scilly and saw several most nights.

The sky was so clear it was possible to see the space dust (there must be a better term) whereas at home in Bracknell, we can only ever see the brightest stars.

Twas very impressive.

It is impressive.
Some time ago I was working in the middle of nowhere in Australia. OMG their night sky looked so different from what we get in the UK. Simply amazing sight.
