Hi Guys
Well I am now a D3 owner again after selling my 08 TDV6 in South Africa last month . On Saturday I bought PierreJ's 05 V8 HSE
I must admit that the V8 is smoother and nicer to drive than the oil burner but the fuel bills are going to interesting
I look forward to many, many trips into the outback and along the WA coastline with the D3 and my offroad trailer.

Welcome Doc....or should I say "g'day"....hope you enjoy your new toy, and when you get sick of driving around on sand come over to the east coast for some real fun in the "high country"....you'll love it.

Thanks OldSalt, WA is not well endowed with topography, but the beachs are great D3 2005 HSE V8 model, snorkel, nudge bar, uprated tow hitch (12T), Goodyear Wrangler MTR (MT) tyres, National Luna battery box, Outback roof-rack, Takla seat covers.

Doc,
If you get on to the AULRO forum, there is a WA section which includes trips. From memory there is one possibly next weekend and possibly again in Aug. With the recent rains there will be plenty of mud and ruts in the hills behind Harvey. More than enough to try out the D3's capabilities. Just make sure you have some reasonable rubber (read not HT type).
Cheers Cameron

Thanks JonesBoy
I will have a look at the AULRO forum and see what the guys are up to. I did quite a few semi-competitive gates events in quarries in my old D3 TDV6 and the vehicle was awesome
Thanks

What mileage you getting? I have the TDV6 but the option on a 2005 HSE 4.4 but concerned on the fuel bills.
Cheers

Hi Matt
On the motorways, at 100 km/h, I get about 13 l/100 km and this drops to 15 l/100 km in mixed driving and 17 l/100 km in heavy traffic. The vehicle is quite thirsty but such a pleasure to drive
