My D3 is due for service at Barbagallo's in Perth soon. Do any forum members have any positive or negative experience with these dealers D3 2005 HSE V8 model, snorkel, nudge bar, uprated tow hitch (12T), Goodyear Wrangler MTR (MT) tyres, National Luna battery box, Outback roof-rack, Takla seat covers.

G'day Doc
its a bit hit and miss but have found it to be better of late (last 12 months or so).
Of course they slug you for everything but they do seem to actively check recalls/updates (ie without having to ask) and have even hard the cash washed and ready the last 2 services.
Getting a loaner will cost you (about $50/day) but you need to book it a couple of weeks prior.
They will run you into work or back home in a courtesy vehicle however.
So, you generally walk out feeling a bit stung but not reamed out. And they do follow up afterwards to see if everything ok.
I'd rate it a 5 or 6 out of 10 experience.
Good luck!

Many thanks GRT for the insightful comments on the stealers . They don't sound too bad at all.

I'm booked in on the 29th - hoped I haven't jinxed myself and now get a crap service!
The worst thing is is that now the service department and the sales yard are separated, you dont even get to drool over the new LR products anymore!

They are across the road from one another, so a short stroll later you can begin to drool D3 2005 HSE V8 model, snorkel, nudge bar, uprated tow hitch (12T), Goodyear Wrangler MTR (MT) tyres, National Luna battery box, Outback roof-rack, Takla seat covers.

Hi Doc - have been to the "southern" stealer and while having to pay have been happy with service. As I'm in the country they will push the service along so I can get home at a reasonable hour.
Going in for 78 k service soon $$$!! but car going great!

Thanks for the info. My 05 V8 is going in on Monday for an 80 000 km service and I am sure I will be hurting ($$$) after that D3 2005 HSE V8 model, snorkel, nudge bar, uprated tow hitch (12T), Goodyear Wrangler MTR (MT) tyres, National Luna battery box, Outback roof-rack, Takla seat covers.

Hi Doc
Thought that all Disco had to be serviced every 6 months (12,000km), my 06 has just went in for its 108.000km, even though I have only 30,000km,
So I assume it will be the 88.000km, enjoy,,, mine was around 800.00, but I do have a LR extenered warrantty to think about.

Hi Rob, thanks for the feedback. I took the D3 in this morning and they indicated a price of $520 for the service. I'll see if that changes when I collect the vehicle

When I was in Perth I used FRANZONE MOTORS in East Perth.
Brilliant.
John there (co-owner) owns a D3 and I always got outstanding service. I highly recommend them - and cheaper than Barbagallo??? OH YEAH! Warranty repairs? No problem. They have full Autologic (LR) software; They also did my ecu remap. Thanks BlackAdelaide, I have heard good reports about FRANZONE from others on the forum. Must pay them a visit in the next few months. Barbagallo's did my service today for $520 and seem to have done a good job D3 2005 HSE V8 model, snorkel, nudge bar, uprated tow hitch (12T), Goodyear Wrangler MTR (MT) tyres, National Luna battery box, Outback roof-rack, Takla seat covers.

Hey Doc,
Once again congrats with your purchase.
I only serviced at Barbagallo and they (Johnathan at least) always looked after the car. I have never walked away with a higher price than what was quoted, and they do phone if they find something wrong, which has not happened.
Just bought a Disco2 '04, also 80k but was quoted $1,400 for a service through Johnathan. Why is the fear of long words called hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia?

Only picking her up tomorrow. Also ordering spigot rings to fit the spare set of rims to it, so they might be off to the powdercoaters soon.
Bonati grey D2.
BTW, sorry I missed you on the weekend. Will have to arrange a catch up soon, and perhaps a drive out somewhere. Why is the fear of long words called hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia?
