Very impressive Thumbs Up The gimbal is doing a great job at keeping the camera smooth.

You want to see it on a 4k Tv, this is only HD and I am not sure I got the right settings for youtube, but still good quality. The 4k is breath taking. Pelyma How often do you fly yours, I have had this since november last year and not had the time or weather to fly it for the first time.

Cracking video Flack - brings back fond memories of growing upin Formby, just over the Ribble from you.

A couple of questions for Flack/Wiggs/Pelyma if I may:

1 What sort of wind strength is it possible to fly these in? (We are thinking of using one to film a boat sailing, which obviously means that there will be some wind!)

2 Any idea of what weight they can lift (without camera)? A different use in mind here - taking a thin messenger line across a river.

Thanks

Over the winter we haven't flown it much as it has been so wet. We have taken it on holiday to the New Forest a few times and have tried high level shots as well as low level ones over the heath and along side our ponies whilst they have been ridden. We have also used it to look at the guttering of our commercial properties that difficult to get a ladder up to. I'm amazed at what wind they can fly in, but this is dependant on what you are trying to do in the wind. Our first go with the guttering was abandoned as it was very gusty around the buildings causing the drone to rise and fall which wasn't good as the drone was very low. If you just want to fly in open areas at a reasonable height then the wind isn't an issue. Waterbouy, you can't take the camera off, you'd be better off looking at a different model, a friend of my son lives in Florida, he got us into the drones when he came over, they own a real estate business and put a small dslr under one of theirs, but they build their own from components.

That looks really good Mick Thumbs Up
We are in the process of putting together a storyboard for a promotional video for the Lifeboat (you also need a video for crowdfunding)
We're using these guys http://www.360uas.com/index.php?route=common/home
They use a Phantom DJI Inspire Pro 1 with 4K cameras....they have just replaced their GoPros with handheld Gimball cameras, and they are incredible.
They also did one for Berwick Lifeboat (might give Waterbuoy some ideas)
