We caught the ferry (smyrilline ) and it was not cheap, But you can do better if you choose the cheapest options. Check out their website. Apparently it costs about £1000 to container a car to Iceland and then you can fly. It's cheaper but you miss the Faroe Islands. Good luck and thanks for all the feedback guysMods: raised air intake, dual battery system, roof rack with Bush Pack, ladder and awning, side steps, light protectors, rubbing strips, fridge, winch, replaced air suspension with coil system, extra fuel tank, waterless coolant, spare wheel carrier, external LEDLight, pure sine wave inverter.
Was it your D3 I spotted in Husavik on July 30 ish?

Yep, that was us! Weather appaling and no flamin' whales to be seen. What were you driving and are you still over here? We catch the ferry on ThursdayMods: raised air intake, dual battery system, roof rack with Bush Pack, ladder and awning, side steps, light protectors, rubbing strips, fridge, winch, replaced air suspension with coil system, extra fuel tank, waterless coolant, spare wheel carrier, external LEDLight, pure sine wave inverter.

Correct, very poor weather…. our whale spotting trip was cancelled.
I was in a green Landcruiser, in the same group as Ralph and 1 more D3.

Ah yes, I was aware of your group because of Ralph and Belinda. I gather you had some horrible weather all round, but it was a whole lot of fun! We really must try something like that when we come back from our current travels. Are you going to go on the next one with the same organisation- it seems very goodMods: raised air intake, dual battery system, roof rack with Bush Pack, ladder and awning, side steps, light protectors, rubbing strips, fridge, winch, replaced air suspension with coil system, extra fuel tank, waterless coolant, spare wheel carrier, external LEDLight, pure sine wave inverter.
We didn’t have the best weather, but it was at its worst at Husavik for sure. Next year I will probably go to Morocco or Western Sahara with Paul, he is very professional and his trips suit my needs.
Enjoy the rest of your trip, safe travels….
