Some years ago my council resurfaced a BOAT with one half hardcore for walkers, horses, cyclists and the other side left as is for off roaders.
Shortly after reopening the next door timber yard drove their timber tractor halfway down the lane, did a 3 point turn and drove back up, the lane had tractor deep ruts and the ground anchor had pulled up all the newly placed wood posts. Luckily it was obviously not done by road going 4x4s so the lane was not closed. Series 1 V8
