Turkey 2008 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE Auto Santorini BlackDiscovery 3
Please encourage me that Disco3 is great 4x4 vehicle

Hi from Turkey, my name is Memi,
I dont know why but I am British car enthusiast. I owned two MGf (1996 and 2000), 1989 Defender 90, 2013 Mini Cooper S, 2002 Disco2 SE and last Thursday’s 2008 Disco HSE.
I had some minor problems with my previous cars. However, it is not the case for Disco3. After I paid for it, I just drove 15km and stop to buy something. I used Electronic hand brake and then hmm all the curse has begun. Of course, it didn’t realize when I use the switch. I googled it figure out how to realize it. But the warning light was still there on the dashboard. I just drove another 2 km to my home And nothing happened. Next day, while I was going to my work, I heard this ugly warning signal. And my dashboard turned to Xmas tree. I stoped the car and called my mechanic. He said that just wait for couple of minute and came here. While I was going to his shop, I stoped one more time (whole journey is about 10 km). We connected the car to computer and see the all error code. Almost everything were there. The most horrified was High pressure pump. I left the car over there and start to google it what happened to me. And I found this forum and have started reading. I think, I have never been reading that much even during my PhD. We first checked bulb, battery, alternator and a switch under the wheel (might be brake light switch. In deed, left parking bulb was not worked. Any way, when we reset the car and checked the errors, we got high pressure fuel pump error. I kept my calm and backed to home and started the reading again. Tomorrow, I will tell them to check the filter first. I hope the problem is just coming from the filter. Btw, I got suspension error which says something like it is too slow to lift the car. I will check and read it tomorrow.
Thus, please tell me, I made a good decision to buy Disco3.
Memi

It was an excellent decision Thumbs Up

You won’t need to spend money on anything else Mr. Green

Seriously, every vehicle being sold does have its own history. Problem is that buyers usually discover (har har) it too late.

And of course you have to bear in mind that you’re dealing with an 11/12 year old complex vehicle. We have a 9 year old Mini that we’ve had from being 3 months old. It’s been nurtured and driven sensibly, and yet we’ve still had things go wrong in the past couple of years. It’s how it is I’m afraid.
