What is this plug dangling from behind rear wheel well?

Hi - new D3 owner, coming from D2.

Doing an inspection over the vehicle, can someone let me know what this (pictured) is behind the rear wheel well, and where it should go? There’s another on the left side also loose but not dangling so dangerously low. No immediately obvious location for the peg to pop into.

Need to get my hands on the Haynes manual sooner rather than later…

Great thanks - I’ll look up the TPMS in the workshop manual, they must snap in somewhere purposeful otherwise I’ll ziptie them to chassis.

Assume I can get sensors and enable TPMS using GAP tool?

I would assume so.

Also need to fit sensors to the wheels.

Usually the spare has one too. ?

You'll also need to fit and VIN code a TPMS module, the connectors in the wheelarches are for the initiator antennas, which you'll also need to fit.

Or you could just check the tyre pressures periodically.

Perfect, thanks - the little tpms bracket thing has gone missing so guess I’ll just tie the loose cables up out of the way.

Sounds like a lot of work for lazy pressure checking when I have 100 other items on the to do list. Zip-tie and forget will be the way forward for now Thumbs Up
