Plug in Tow Bar Electrics |
|
I have recently bought a detachable tow bar kit from Towbars R us with twin electrics. To be fair they did include some instructions which I have mislaid. I have requested them to resend the instructions but what I can remember, it was stated that I had to run a cable to the battery for the permanent live to the auxillary socket (I tow a caravan). Surely I shouldn't have to do this. Can anyone let me know if the auxillary wiring can all be done in the rear of my 57 plate Disco 3 SE. If so How??

Good offer from Local chap - IIRC general feeling, is don't faff about with after market wiring. LR loom is plug and play, loom has all the chassis connectors, grommits etc etc and is only about £80.00 all in. Flog yours on ebay and but the proper one "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

Thanks for your offer Discolee, I too am in Stoke. It is a Brink Rugby Man, alledgedly Towbars R Us supply to LR. What I don't understand is that if LR provide plug in facilities form the 12N surely they would for the 12S also. However, the mislaid instructions for what I can remember stated that wiring had to be run to the battery, surely this can't be right!!!
If I can't get sorted Discolee, I will sent you a PM later this week.
