Sorry, but there's already enough dross to sift through without adding more.
Who's to decide which content is dross? Some Freelander Forums are full of threads on pretty anal car cleaning; some Disco topics are endless threads on minor faults. Not my thing, but others thrive on it.
What could be better than setting up a dedicated area and then interested parties can go there and others can get on with what they want to do.
But it all comes up in new posts, it is a car forum, why have a dedicated section for something so un car relatedJoined the BMWX5 45e group

For a car based forum what would be next - cats, horses or perhaps hobbies such as shooting, fishing, hunting etc?
I'd draw the line at letting cruelty "sports" in though
So you want to talk about dogs etc but on your terms? No talk about hunting I take it?
If my terms are not talking about imposing suffering and death, on relatively defenceless animals, for pleasure - then I guess that the answer must be "Yes"
Define defenceless?
I or my dogs have eaten everything I've shot or caught, I'm in tune with what I eat. When you're in the supermarket what do you think happens to your meat and fish before its wrapped in plastic? If you're a meat eater you're probably eating animals that have been killed in a manner compliant with Halal traditions, what's your thoughts on that?Club Exped trailer

So bringing things back on topic, I'm also for a dog thread. 18months ago I'd have said why? I didn't get dogs, no comprehension why anybody would want one.
After years of grief from our daughters we gave in. The best thing ever, I cannot imagine being without a dog. I really felt for Lucy and her family. Loosing our dog now would be heart breaking.
So there you are, a big southern softy saying great idea.

Actually its more likely to be non Halal than Halal, particularly if you buy British (<15%) and none of the major supermarkets stock meat or meat products from animals that have not been stunned before slaughter!==================================

I'm staying on the fence with this one, I do like certain dogs & in a few months we will potentially be looking, but this is a Disco 3 forum at the end of the day, we are all on here because of one thing only, not because we like fish, dogs, or Digitals Avatar (sorry Del! ) she is cute though! We're all on here because of the Disco 3/4

Why do you think I inflict suffering? Death is not suffering. Do you eat meat? How do you know the slaughterman didn't enjoy killing your Sunday roast, does that make it different? The fallow deer that died in my fields that I posted about had been gored 3 times by other bucks, nature is cruel most humans are not. I would much rather know where my food has come from, how it died and I take great pleasure in knowing it lived a good life and died a good death by a dog, bullet, shot, or if a fish a smack on the head.DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

But that's the point died a quick and good death by dying quickly. I have taken enough pigs to the slaughter house to be killed and it's done quickly. UNot some long drawn out affair where it suffers. And just has importantly the meat is eaten.
