POWER FOLDING MIRRORS

Does anybody know a code to enter into the ecu / bcm to enable me to fit power folding mirrors to my Disco 3 GS Auto 2009 my?. Apparently you cannot just buy the mirrors with the motors and plug them in because we have to tell the vehicle's electrical system that it needs to accept the new mirrors ! Can anybody help ? Thank you Richard Banging Head

Hi Richard and welcome to the site...

So if I understand it correctly you want to retro-fit power-fold mirrors to your D3 that currently has manual mirrors?

Or were you talking about getting them to do other functions (dip on reverse, fold/unfold on open/close etc)?

To be honest I don't believe there is even an option in the CCF to enable or disable powerfold mirrors which means that it should be just a case of buying the bits and installing them.

I'm not saying that installing them is a 10 minute job, but just that I'm not sure that you need to "tell the D3" that it has power fold mirrors..

Hope this helps Thumbs Up

wasnt there a thread approx 6 months ago and it mentioned about connecting it up to a relay or the reverse side of one of the relays on a brown wire.
best search for it rather than follow my memory as I havent really explained anything except it was talked about in the year.
