Prang!

My sister pranged her MY10 D4 today. Looks like it is only the bumper that is damaged. She has a D3 bumper left over from her previous battle bus and asked me whether it would fit. I haven't a clue but I suspect someone might know........

Sod's law it is the front bumper. Worth a shot though.

I'll tell her to buy a new one unless someone has one to sell?

Thanks.

Good idea. I'll give her the details. The less I'm involved the better!

You don't necessarily need to replace. I have seen some bumpers repaired at one of my friends bodyshop using plastic welding and you could not tell the difference.

Good Luck...

now its coming off you might as well fit a winch..seems rude not too.
It is better to have and not need it then need and not have it.

Is the bumper cracked? If not if it is just deformed you may be able to get it repaired. Here is a photo of my Nissan pathfinder after a meeting with a deer's head, the local bodyshop was able to heat the bumper up and return it to its original shape and then paint it. I was a bit sceptical but when I picked it up you couldn't see any signs of the damage, it cost me £200 plus a few clips

Agree with the above.
SWMBO had a 'coming together' with a lamp post in her Hond Civic Rolling Eyes
[the sporty one with the big bumpers .... the car that is .... not the wife]
She seemingly mushed in the back end.
I knew nothing of it and didn't see it as she took it straight away to our local garage to get an estimate for repair.
They were able to pop it out & T cut it there on the spot and didn't charge her a penny.

I did find out though when I spotted a slight crack on her rear light, that's how I eventually got to know about it.
You would never know the bumper had been damaged.

Apparently it's cracked / split. Her thinking was that she had a spare bumper, although a D3 version, and wondered if it would fit.

From her description it's a new bumper. Thanks for all the advice but I'm going to leave it to her to sort out.

must say I'm impressed with the plastic repair possibilities and didn't know these things could be repaired.
