Also the check valve inside the oil pressure pump is also at risk. In the photo you can see a metal abrasion blocking the piston. The pressure relief valve can therefore remain constantly open or closed. So too low pressure, or too high pressure (> 4.5 bar). In my opinion, the red oil pressure warning light (only 0.15 bar!!!) is completely useless.

With all those metal shards getting stuck in places where they shouldn't be, I'd be a bit worried where they came from. That's not normal wear & tear, that's something breaking up.Joe

01.Filling of the affected components before starting the engine.:
- intake pipe
- oil pump
- Heat exchanger
- Oil filter housing
- Oil filter
- Complete oil circuit
- All lubrication points
- Crankshaft bearings
02. Pressurize the oil circuit with all lubrication points etc. (3.6 bar).
03. Maintain oil pressure and start the engine.
04.Maintain oil pressure during start run and only after increasing the
Oil pressure (analog display) deactivate the POS.
B. protect the turbocharger.
01.Activate the pre-oiling system after turning off the engine.
This will continue to fill the trailing turbocharger (a few minutes) with oil
provided. This provides lubrication and cooling.
02. Combustion residues are thus also avoided.
The pre-oiler idea has been discussed before. ISTR that one fan on here has them on his track car ?
I fear that this was me; not on a track car though. I actually firstly used an Accusump on an early FFRR with a John Eales engine & later as a result of that experience on an MG A rally car:-
During my tests I have also checked the non-return-valve (check valve) in the oilfilter assembly. Because of the missing filter before the assembly, the valve is leaking. An oil drop of about 4.0 mm/day in the filter housing. I think the most disco3 have this promlem.

@Frisian Driver
Would you be kind enough to put together a list of parts that you used, please?
