Pressure increases too rapid-when filling reservoir C1A18-64 |
|
Hi folks started car up today got triangle yellow with the above fault code. The car was not low on any corner moved suspension up and down front seemed slower than back.Deffo slower at moving up and down then normal .Plugged in diag tool and noticed after moving up and down a few times compressor temp had risen to around 75 deg c.Gallery pressure on live data moved up at a steady speed and then down when moving suspension down. The code wouldn’t clear at first took for a run cane back left car off for 15 mins then when started back up no code showing light cleared switched back of and on no code or light.Im thinking possible valve block issue or to service compressor and put new filtration granules in.Any ideas would as always be appreciated. The car is a 2013 with 69000 AMK compressor fitted. Thanks in advance

Hello Iomegas
Sometimes, either due to hasty maintenance events or mechanical "insults" on hard off-road routes, the compressor intake hose can become disconnected from protected path (from the cabin filter). This can draw conditions whereby air compressor works with inlet unwanted (little) water presence . in fact you could have the air tank with a volume partially occupied by liquid which is a volume subtracted from regular operation in the gas phase

Hi Mrexiani thanks for reply following my earlier post Pressure increases too rapidwhen filling reservoir C1A18-64 and jut in case anyone else has the same problem I found the fault and fixed it.
The fault was to do with the reservoir middle valve block I replaced and cleared code and the car rises as it did before fault and no code, replaced the decadent granules also in compressor at same time also.
Now I know it may have been the actual pressure switch on the block but got a block new for £65.00 and bought a new switch and seal kit to refurb the original, message hope this is useful to others. Thumbs Up
