problem with central locking |
|
Hi Guys,
I have a 2005 TDV6 SE and have a problem with central locking, it only works occasionally and sometimes the remote will work and will lock (we have used both keys and there is no warnings about flat battery in the display) but not open or not work at all, we have to use the key in the passenger door. This presents an embarrassing alarm going off! is there anything we can do to fix it as we are in the remote North Central Queens land at the moment. Also rang LR no idea what to do as usual said to take it to the Townsville dealer or Cairns any experiance with either of these people? not sure which one to take it to.
Thanks in advance
Kenso

Putting the key into the ignition within (I think) 10secs will avoid the alarm, sorry can't help otherwise. Cheers

This sounds very similar to a problem I am experiencing. It seems that the key is faulty, and my dealer is getting me a new one.

Well, got the steering knock sorted. new steering column (We think) need to check it out on some rough ground...as per some other posts. The key cover replaced, a broken wire or something on the alarm / central locking and something that I did know was covered the laminating on the steering wheel so the entire wheel was replaced! WIPERS $100 for the rear $100 for the front pair I will recommend the Cairns Landrover Dealers David in service and Rene with a shirt stating "Master Technician" both outstanding with service and friendliness almost worth driving back if I have any more problems! Norto... standby next exciting www.roopeace.com instalment not far away!!
