Problems with Landrover waterproof seat covers
We bought the LR waterproof seatcovers within a few months of purchasing our car almost 3 years ago. We figured with 2 kids, 2 dogs and the off roading, we would protect the leather seats. The other day, the driver one was starting to rip, so we had a look under it and found it was stuck to the leather. Once we pried it off, there were white spots all over the leather seat.
Has anyone else had this problem? Has anyone looked under their seat covers? We have tried to clean it, and so has our local dealer, but to no avail.
The dealer has taken photos of the 2 front seats (the rear seats seem to be OK) and will send the photos to LR head quarters.
We bought the seat covers to protect the leather, not make it worse!Disco 3, Gold TDV6 HSE, rear e diff, kaymar rear bar, ARB bullbar with front parking sensors, Warn winch, 110L auxiliary tank, dual battery, GME UHF, Lightforce spotties, Cooper ST's, LR snorkel, Expedition roof rack.
What interior colour have you got and wheat colour seat covers did you buy ?
Land Rover withdrew the black seat covers as there were issues with marking Alpaca leather interior

TLO, it's all my fault guv, honest!!! I got full set of new leather seats after the covers leaked dye (black covers) on a brand new car after 3 weeks and got the black ones withdrawn. For all you ebay buyers with alpacca seats and cheap black covers, beware!

stick with leather I say just give it a good clean and "feed it" a few times a year and it should last life of the car.
I even managed to resurrect the 30 year old leather my Merc 6.9 and couldnt believe how well it came up after a light sand and redye. Some internet site showed me how to do it (Leatherique.com.au) and it was a cinch.MY2010 D4 HSE 3.0, e-diff, 19inch MTR's; LLAMS Height adjustor, LR f & r light guards, LR side steps, LR bright finish side door mouldings; LR/Mantec G4 front bash plate, LR G4 Winch kit, Warn 9500lb Winch; GOE compressor guard, Uniden UHF, LR bright finish roof rails, LR G4 driving light kit, LR G4 ladder, 4 x extra rear compartment 12V sockets, Traxide dual battery system and Optima Yellowtop battery, ORS drawer system / fridge slide, LED rear compartment lighting.

I got a call from Lance Dixon yesterday and they said that LR would replace my 2 front seats (where the marks are on the leather) and take out all 7 black waterproof seat covers and replace them all with sand waterproof seat covers. Pretty good for almost being 3 years old.
