I have had my D3 for sale recently and i cannot beleive how many people have rang enquiring whether the disco has been taken off road. i would asume that any discovery3 owner would have automatically done some sort of off road driving as who would spend all the money and put up with the LR dramas just to have it on the blacktop. well there's off road and there's off road.
If you are selling your D3 with the accessories listed in your signature it probably looks the part, and I'd be asking what sort of off road work it had done too!
Buyers do the same with Prados and Cruisers etc and a huge proportion of those would not have been off road so don't be offended.
If they ask again just say, "Everywhere's a road in a Disco" 2012 MY13 SDV6 SE D4 Ipanema Sand with Almond leather
2012 TDI Passat - they reckon the DSG is crap, I reckon it's awesome
2010 MY11 Mitsubishi Challenger - Gone (it was a "Challenging Year")
2007 MY08 TDV6 SE - gone

If I was buying a second hand disco I would look for a low km one that has only been on the blacktop first. But a good deal with extras might tempt me.
Most buyers will be looking to take off road anyway. If well maintained and damage free they should still be interested. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

I agree with all of this. And i suppose with the knowledge i have now i would go with one that has had the mods done to make it a reliable 4 x 4. I just wish that i could get that accross to the people who enquire. Disco 4 Sept 09
