Unfortunately we all have different thresholds and if reported the mods have to retract the post.
However I assume the reporter(s) can find other topics, possibly offensive to others, fair game to have a laugh at
Basically I CBA’d to find out by posting what is ‘acceptable’ or ‘is below a threshold’ on a pot-luck basis

I think there is some merit in having a "don't read this if offended easily" thread where more stuff is fair game. Obviously, illegal / nasty stuff would be unwelcome but "close to the knuckle" stuff would be allowed. The rule then being: don't go on the thread and moan because it's not to your taste.

Like others I hadn't appreciated the reason you stopped posting your jokes Astonbuilder, just assumed you had thrown away the joke book you'd found on Noah's Ark.
I, like many others on here, did take the on the definition of what you thought was a good joke but never on the content. As has been said it seems these days that people can be offended by almost anything. However, these easily offended people don't have to read the Humour, Rants & Pointless Posts section.
