Quarter panel window replacement |
|
HELP !!!!!
Iv had to do it , Iv broken my quarter panel window on my rear door to gain access after my key fob failed and I couldn’t get into disco,
Iv got a new replacement but for the life of me I can’t seem to get it into place .
I’ve taken the door card off and removed the old quarter panel but that’s as far as Iv got , I’m contemplating taken the main window and electric motor out but don’t want to go that far unless necessary.
Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure what disco you have but you know you can unlock the car from the passengers side door ? Just slide the plastic clip off and use the blade to open the door. A little late I appreciate but that’s how it is on a D3. James favourite hobby is writing in the third person.

It’s a disco3 and yes I do know about the keyhole on the passenger side but unfortunately for me my disco has had a replacement door fitted on that side and my key didn’t match the lock on that door .
Anyway all is well now I got the quarter panel fitted once I walked away from it , had a glass of wine , went back at it and it popped straight in on the first go .
Iv also changed the lock on the passenger door to suit the key , had a spare key made also and secured to the underside of the car .
Now I need to tackle the suspension fault and parking brake faults, plus my tailgate not opening when I need it to and my passenger door not opening from the inside
I also need someone to explain to me why I bought a Landrover

Apart from driving it The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;
They just make the best of everything they have.
