Hi looking at buying a 60 plate, registered Sept 2010 3.0 D4 GS.
On the back it says SDV6. When I put the licence plate into various on line 'checkers', it's listing as a TDV6.
How can I check that it is the SDV6?
What model year is it likely to be? Presumably, could be either a very late 2010 or an early 2011? Is there an easy way to check (eg on-line VIN check) or better still a way to tell them apart visually?
Anything else I should specifically look out for / beware of?
Many thanks! D4 XS MY12 Galway

Technically they are still TDV6 but if it is 60 plate it should be a SDV6 and it will have the SDV6 badge on the back. LR Discovery 4 XS pulling an Airstream 532 Caravan also own (since new) a 1996 MGF

Are you saying all SDV6 are actually 'technically' TDV6 and therefore this is correct?
Or, are you saying that because it still has a Turbo Diesel engine and is a V6 it's technically still a TDV6?
Also, any thoughts on model year / spec?
Many thanks D4 XS MY12 Galway

Sorry - me possibly half answering my own questions!
I've been checking and came across the LR press release for MY11. Doesn't seem to have much extra on it from MY10, except:
• New Gradient Acceleration Control
• New Hill Start Assist
• Silver on Green badges
How do I tell whether it has "Gradient Acceleration Control" and "New Hill Start Assist"? Are there buttons or do these just activate when needed or what??!! D4 XS MY12 Galway

How can you check on Topix? It says you have to be a dealer to apply for a login?
