Question for the plumbers/ heating folks out there

Chaps

I am redoing my daughters bathroom and have had to remove a rad and some pipe work, so I had to drain the heating system down. I know I will have to refill, bleed rads, and bring the pressure back up.

I also had to move a wash basin and pipe work, so for this just turned off the incoming stoptap. I have completed the water side of things, turned on the stoptap and run water until no air coming through both hot and cold taps, but we are not getting any hot water. Will the combi boiler not run with no water in the heating side of the system, even though they are separate water systems.

Cheers
Al

If it's a system or combi boiler it won't run till pressure is back up in the heating circuit. Thumbs Up

Have to repressure ours several times a year. Leak is somewhere under the floor and is too slight to warrant ripping house apart.

Usual trigger is me needing a hot shower. Laughing
