Paul, I just thought it would be amusing to add another layer of pedantry, to what was always intended to be a humorous thread. I wasn’t implying you were wrong, I was purposely being pedantic to be funny. Clearly, that didn’t come across as I had intended. That’s the danger of written “banter” though. Pedantry - very much alive, but not doing very well
Peasantry - doffing their respective caps
Pleasantry - extinct
Pheasantry - usually a spruce, larch or similar*, with a couple of eager spaniels running around the base.
Fezantry - The wearing of exotic headwear. Mine's the conical one with the D on it
(* at least on my last shoot. RIP Bere Wood) I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
