Radio and Aux Silent but CD and Phone play OK

Hi
My D3 has developed an odd issue where the radio and aux are silent when selected - everything functions on screen just the audio is silent but CD and Phone audio are OK.

Have done a reset with the IID but not done one with the battery cables yet

I assume the audio from the CD being OK shows the Amp is OK Must stop buying shiny toys....

Oddly while driving to the tip earlier an RDS Traffic message played over the cd I was listening to and from then on everything with the radio is fine and so is the Aux feed! Must stop buying shiny toys....

Mine does something similar. I can drive for a few days enjoying all the things the radio has to offer, then randomly on a drive the radio and satnav screen just shut down entirely. It'll go for days not working and then come back to life mid-journey just as randomly as going off.

I've just put it down to the fact that it's 17 years old and therefore being a stroppy teenager. It'll grow out of it soon and start behaving itself again. 2022 BMW i4 M50. Bought Oct 2022. 10,200 miles and counting...
