| Radio (CB or Ham) radio interference |

Hi, I've had a search around and can't find any references to this except for a road angel thread. Is there anyone using ham or CB radios having any problems with interference either from the car to the radio or radio to the car? If there is, what remedies were affected to clear the problem?

Probably fitting a ferrite ring to the power lead or coax cable might be the answer

Thanks for the reply. I should have added that I haven't actually got a Disco yet, but was looking around to see if there were any known problems. I've got the search down to 3 cars, the Disco 3, Porsche Cayenne and a Toyota Landcruiser (or Prado). My number one worry is from transmitting would knacker the electronics of the car, closely followed by interference on signal reception.
The Saab 9-5 estate I have at the moment, although a brilliant car, is not exactly suited to going over pot holes never mind up a green lane

I regularly use 2m and 70cm for Raynet work with no issues. I haven't got around to doing a permanent install so I just use a magmount on the roof and a connect to the cigarette lighter socket for power with the radio sat on the passenger seat, about as poor an install as you can get!

Good news Bungle, thank you. I just hope your working within Raynet and not because of the Disco needing emergency comms  Sorry, I couldn't resist the temptation
