| Radio restarted now beeping |

A couple of weeks ago whilst driving my stereo and sat nav suddenly restarted for no apparent reason. All came back to life fine so I carried on. This morning the same thing happened only I noticed an amber warning lamp come on and off very quickly then the radio started to beep constantly, switches to CD and it is fine. After a restart the radio now gives a fast beep beep beep but CD still fine.
Any ideas?
