RAI - how much mess does fitting it make...really...
I tried finding an answer, but to no avail...
How much "damage" does fitting an RAI really make...? How easy to put right and what exactly would need to be done once it came off (lease car....blah blah and all that).
From what I understand it's two holes in the wing - how easy is it fill those in and get the paint on ?
And some holes in the A-pillar - hidden by a new piece of rubber trim...? Easy...?
Thanks. The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

Would you get away with blanks like this at end of lease? That's what I use.

The hole in the a-pillar can be filled with epoxy resin easily enough.Previously:

Don't forget you stands a good chance that the paint around the intake will also get rubbed / scratched by the RAI unless you protect it 1st.
when you order the next lease car get one the same colour as your current...swap wings TLO has left the building.......

Not so sure those blanks would work - but then again, some of the cars have been returned with a fair amount of scratches and dings...think I'll have a friendly word with the dealer and see what he thinks...
Black blanks on a black car might work.
It's still got another 3 years on the lease and the way I'm treating it at the moment two holes in the wing is going to the least of the problems... The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

It's a LR part. At worst just leave it on as you could have specified it when new from the dealer . . . ."To finish first, one first has to finish ...."
