Rain leak into boot

Car was in for a few days to get a water leak looked at, dripping into the boot through the interior light when it rained. Initial thought was the high level brake light, a known issue for which a TSB has been issued. This was replaced but I see tonight the drip is still there.

Need to get it back in next week, guess the next option is the shark fin seal on the roof unless anyone else has any ideas?

A simple hose test would have shown it was still leaking after the first repair, pretty frustrating.

Could be rubber seals round the (2) cables that come into the car if not the ones you have mentioned?

Mine was doing just that , dripping from the light housing
It turned out it was the Gsm antenna on the roof which was leaking.
Upon removal of it ( couple of screws to release the plastic shark fin housing) the wire is pretty thin but goes through a large rubber bung into the vehicle, waterways tracking down it to the inside.

I sealed it all up with sikaflex sealant and that sorted it. Thumbs Up

Obviously irrelevant if you don't have the antenna but there is a blanking plate instead on cars without the antenna and this can also leak apparently.

Hope you source the Censored .
Cheers.

Nick.

Thanks Nick,

Yes I do have the shark fin on the glass roof but don't have a security forx bit that fits the screws despite having a whole box of them Twisted Evil

Another call to the dealer on Monday by the look of things, under warranty.
