If you want to be sure spray everything. The modules behind the battery can be given a good coat by spaying in situ but to be sure it would be better to remove and seal before replacing (don't spray the contacts when exposed though, spray around the connectors when replaced) â€œThere are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely games”

Waterproofing the Mantec RIA?

Thanks CaverD3,

I have had a look at http://www.safarisnorkel.com/guides/ss385hf.htm that shows the r/h inside receives a cuffed hose, thus the whole SAFARI system is properly sealed.

I wonder if the LR/ Mantec system may be waterproofed?

You could water proof the LR RAI. You would ned to reolace the 'religious' hose between the boot and the air box though.
There is a rubber elbow and a charcole imprgnated fabric hose.

I made a removable snorkel for mine so it sould give you some idea if what might be involved:
