Well I’m now a member of the D4 Digital Dash Club
What a pain, it was the prom programming stuff I feared the most but actually this worked really well, I downloaded both old and new proms then used a HEX comparison program and using the information on here copied the old to new, and hey presto it started - but I’d lost 80k miles so I put the old dash in and then went for a drive again and used the comparison program to work out what had changed. Bingo I had it all done in about 1hr... Then the trouble really started, getting it in the car - that took about 3 hours and at times I was close to giving up, I lost count of how many dremel disks I snapped with working at awkward angles.
It’s now in, but it still needs some fettling as it’s not quite level I don’t think, and it’s not actually screwed in, but it’s that tight it’s not going anywhere. I’ve been on a drive round town and it’s amazing - I found the old dash was slightly obscured by the wheel with my seating position- but this one I can see everything, and the 4x4 stuff is brilliant.
I’m gutted as ive scuffed the dash pod, I did try and be clever using a rag to protect the dash, but when I pulled the rag out it’s ripped the leatherette/ plastic slightly. I’m going to use a black marker and some glue - failing that I’ll be looking on eBay.
Big thanks to James1974 for the information on here and dgarside for the loan of the prom reader and some tips.2010 Disco 4 HSE

I would love to do this but it’s the fitting and especially the cutting part that puts me

All of the cutting is from behind the dash so can’t be seen.
The only bit I don’t like, on mine is that it’s not quite square, and you do have some gaps that can’t be seen as the new clocks don’t have the same profile and don’t sit at the same angle as the old.2010 Disco 4 HSE

A quick question to the people who have already done this. When I now scan for faults with the IID I get one for the instrument cluster about fan failure. Is this because it’s a different unit and the car is confused because I haven’t updated the CCF or is something not working on my unit.2010 Disco 4 HSE

I still need to do that RPM change - Anyone know where the CCF settings are to hand?
The only other thing thats annoying is the range is showing 500+ when full so I think that needs re calibrating to a smaller tank.2010 Disco 4 HSE

I'd like to see the initial boot up sequence and how the dials respond once the car is running please.
Would also appreciate seeing what happens when different things are switched or selected.
Cheers. Mods:
