"Rated" recovery points

We've just had a properly "rated" natural gas pipeline go "boom" here (okay, I worked on it but over a decade ago Whistle ). I'm not sure what "rated" can mean in a recovery situation. A vigorous enough recovery attempt can cause the weakest link to fail, it's just that we'd prefer not to have that be something shaped roughly like a ballistic projectile (nor a frame member, for that manner). I would love to see the test protocols for "rating" something for elastic recoveries. Maybe ask what Australian Standard that Eureka require the rating to be gained under - and please let us all know.
