A bit darker fur and that could be Skit, a semi domesticated feral cat born on the slopes of Ingleborough. To say she is a of a killing machine is no understatement. Rats, mice, shrews etc do not stand much of a chance with this killing machine. Always wise to switch lights on and do a sweep to see what 'presents' Skit has brought us when coming downstairs in the morning!

Just sat here laughing as when I went outside earlier Lena (the wildcat) was trying to catch a Tawny owl, it was screaming at her and swooping down and she was chasing after it with her tail in the air thinking it was a good game my little monster had probably disturbed the owl when it was as down on a mouse I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

^^^ to Lena
Not many tawny owls around here. One of the little darlings brought in a blackbird? egg. Raided the nest, climbed down the tree, negotiated dry stone walls, through 2 sets of cat flaps and presented us with an intact birds egg.
Yes cats are pretty amazing creatures

Excellent. Could she teach 2 spaniels to catch rats whilst on hire as well?

I don’t think dealing with lower life forms is something she would tolerate she was stalking a sheep that had escaped from the field and was wandering around the garden… not sure I how I would have explained that to the farmer
I sometimes wonder if I’m only here as she hasn’t learnt to use a tin opener (yet) !
