Rear Air Con Leak
I have had the Disco re-gassed twice and lost the gas after a short while ,I understand that the rear air con is often the offending item ,I am right in my thinking that you can have the rear A/C disconnected and if so how do you set about it
many thanks in anticipation

You can fit the part for the non rear Aircon Disco. Part number is in the wiki under common part numbers. I did it on mine. But fiddly but not too bad really.2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate

It's often the case that the oe fit rear pipes rust out. They did on mine. A forum member had these replaced with plastic pipes by a mobile AC specialist for a very reasonable price.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

I have these now running front to back. Mine run from the top of the engine all the way to the back thus cutting out two sets of joins (where the pipes tend to leak and corrode).
All the seals are now easily accessible (should they wear in the future) but no chance of corroded pipes.
I did mine with the body off but you could take a shorter run from any of the other joins.

Sorry for the late reply guys. I’ve been away.
I got them made up from an air con specialist to my spec. Any decent specialist should be able to do it.
I cut the pipes down (rear and front) then the air con guys connected them to the pipe which they supplied as per my spec. The pipe are about the same size as the original aluminium flow return pipes and are about 5m in length.
I used a specialist in Northants and posted off the pipes and he posted back the completed pipes. This was the first time he had made them for a D3 but now he has and they work (been on my car for nearly 2 years now) I am sure you could do the same...or use a local supplier.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for the reply and pm mate !
I didn’t realise the rear air con had 2 sets of pipes ! 2 one side and then crossing over and then 2 the other side ! That’s a lot of joints to leak. Jarrod

Two are for the a/c and the other two are for the heater, ie hot water.
