Ditch the dealer and go specialist independent. This can be done from new under EU law and warranty will not be affected so long as VAT registered specialist is used and, correct me if I'm wrong, they must use Genuine parts and follow the LR schedules. Visitor from fullfatrr.com

I’ve got one more service on my plan but really don’t think it’s worth it.
Got some recompense in that the final cost was £400. So I’m feeling that I’ve paid for the discs, pads and calliper. Extended warranty still not wanting to hear my protestations.
Then, once I had my wallet emptied I decided to prolong and enhance my awful mood by asking for a shufty round the new Defender. The salesman could not have been more rude, first he wouldn’t even open the doors for me to have a look in - I was more interested to see the boot and compare it with mine to which he said, naw, you won’t like it, it’s smaller. I’d like to be the judge of that I commented as he told me all the showroom vehicles were locked. It took some real encouraging for him to get the keys. Once opened he proceeded to make up a load of crap about the specs, clearly not knowing his product at all. How do LR plan to sell anything with these people and this attitude? Do I not appear to be a serious buyer in the city dealership because my Disco has mud on it and I’m wearing jeans and trainers? I feel in Perth with their farmers and Aberdeen with the oil money, I may have been taken more seriously.
Rant over for now..... thanks for reading and commenting and offering some support, really appreciated, even seeing the amount of reads was soothing!

Indeed. Today, we carried out a 1st service on a Velar, at around ⅓ of the cost of the local dealer
While we use Genuine Parts, the parts only have to be of a "similar" quality to that of Genuine. However, if there were to be an issue, there will be much less quibble if genuine parts were used, IMO My D3 Build Thread

So we’re 6 months in with the new rear discs and pads fitted by a well known north Glasgow main dealer, and they’re squealing again. No heat yet but I can only imagine it’s not far away from seizing in again(or not retracting fully to be more precise).
My question now is, is there a Brembo calliper set up available somewhere? I can only seem to find the V8 front upgrade, if I’m going down this road I’d like all four corners. Can justify it as we tow a decent sized caravan. Current Stable
