Tinted windows baseball cap and dark glasses helped
Supposed to be seven seater third row was OK if under 2 foot electronic tow bar wouldn't lock so no use and obviously they didn't like it no rush to collect when my car was returned

I recall a few years back attending a collision between a fellow member on here and a young lad in a Corsa that had rear ended him.
The Corsa needless to say was an older model and I expect written off, the D3 hardly looked as though anything had happened.
Additionally it will be five years in December since my own D3 was hit by a drink driver, mine needed a new rear offside wheel, tyre, upper and lower arms and the wheel arch brow. Her Clio was again a write off!

Just spoke with the other parties insurance company and told them the best option was for me to repair it .
No problem .. Money will be in your bank in 48 hrs
No loss adjuster / no quotes / no invoice ...
Result
Wished I had said the parts were more now
Thanks Clive for the suggestion .. Lot less hassle for me .
Just polished the scratches out for the time being

Great news it is being sorted out.
I think the insurers have/check the prices of parts, as quite a few years ago a neighbour dropped his moped when getting off and it landed on the bonnet of my car. When I was getting quotes two of the three places provided estimates minus the cost of a new bonnet saying your insurer will know what that costs, so not sure you would have got away with adding too much.Andy

Best not to involve insurance if possible, I had someone knock my mirror off so we exchanged insurance details and the next year when I looked for other quotes I was down as a claim, bearing in mind I was not even in the car it was parked, they say I was more likely to have a accident so had to stop with same insurance for 3 years till I did not have to say I had any claims
