Rear parking sensor/towbar fitted

My 2015 d4 is fitted with proper Land rover detachable towbar with 7 pin trailer socket and a charging socket for caravan use. Previous owner told me these were fitted by Land rover dealership Hunters of Southampton just after delivery ie they weren't factory fitted.
I've found that when reversing with the trailer attached and 7 pin connection plugged in, the reversing sensors on the vehicle are still active and have to be either ignored or cancelled off via the console button each time reverse is selected.
Question is - should the vehicle know when the trailer is attached and the electrics are plugged in and automatically disable the reversing sensors or is this just how it ought to be and I'll have to put up with it?

As Geoff says. Sounds like the CCF hasn't been updated after the towing bits were fitted. A trip back to the dealer, find someone with an IID tools to do it for you or contact DiscoMikey Thumbs Up
